Each presentation invited participants to reflect deeply on what sustains hope in their lives and ministries, as well as on the obstacles that must be faced with <strong>courage and faith<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-12536-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.gssweb.org\/OLCGS%20WebSite\/NorthAmerica\/2025_lcwr_assembly_highlights_360p%20(360p).mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/doc.gssweb.org\/OLCGS%20WebSite\/NorthAmerica\/2025_lcwr_assembly_highlights_360p%20(360p).mp4\">https:\/\/doc.gssweb.org\/OLCGS%20WebSite\/NorthAmerica\/2025_lcwr_assembly_highlights_360p%20(360p).mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One highlight of the assembly was a panel on the <em>Challenges of Leadership,<\/em> where Good Shepherd Sr. Barbara Beasley spoke (see video below) about how even simple, everyday encounters can reveal profound truths about <strong>leadership and transformation<\/strong>. \u201c<em>God is calling us to transformation, to new consciousness,<\/em>\u201d she reflected. \u201c<em>And we are doing our best to hear and listen and follow.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 56.25% 0 0 0; position: relative;\"><iframe style=\"position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%;\" title=\"Sr. Barbara LCWR Presentation 2025_FB\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/1111756904?h=58b27a386b&amp;badge=0&amp;autopause=0&amp;player_id=0&amp;app_id=58479\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on the <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/1110145587?fl=pl&amp;fe=sh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">presentation by the Keynote speaker, Jesuit Fr. James Martin<\/a>, Sr. Mary Carol McClenon said, \u201c<em>I am continuing to ponder a question raised by Fr. Jim Martin in his presentation on the raising of Lazarus.\u00a0 In reference to Martha and Mary, he said, \u2018We are busy about many things, but are they the right things?\u2019\u00a0 What a deep question!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The assembly also offered a public witness of faith. Nearly 500 participants joined a &#8216;<strong>Pilgrimage of Hope<\/strong>&#8216; through downtown Atlanta, lifting prayers for<strong> migrants, racial justice, and climate action<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Former Congregational Leader, Sr. Brigid Lawlor, who joined the march as a Justice Promotor for the region, spoke of how it was a \u201c<em>moving experience of solidarity with the homeless, employees, and construction workers who paused with inquiring looks as we passed by. Cars honked in solidarity.\u00a0 Ending with\u00a0\u2018Let There Be Peace on Earth,\u2019 which was strongly felt.
