This year, students from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marymountconvent.moe.edu.sg\/\">l\u2019\u00e9cole Marymount Convent<\/a> in Singapore and <a href=\"https:\/\/stbridgets.lk\/\">St. Bridget\u2019s Convent<\/a> in Sri Lanka received <strong>Gold and Silver Awards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For the students, the festival offered an opportunity to perform alongside choirs from different countries, encounter other cultures, build friendships, and develop confidence, discipline, and teamwork.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Marymount Convent School, Singapore<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Marymount Convent School Choir received a Gold Award in recognition of the students\u2019 vocal quality, musical interpretation, and overall performance.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_16073\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16073\" style=\"width: 1002px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-16073 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.olcgs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/page_4_image_1_main-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1002\" height=\"577\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.olcgs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/page_4_image_1_main-1.jpeg 1002w, https:\/\/www.olcgs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/page_4_image_1_main-1-300x173.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.olcgs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/page_4_image_1_main-1-768x442.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.olcgs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/page_4_image_1_main-1-18x10.jpeg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1002px) 100vw, 1002px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-16073\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Marymount Convent School girls with their Choir Mistress.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The choristers described the festival as a memorable and enriching experience. Alongside performing on an international stage, they participated in workshops and learned from choirs representing different countries and musical traditions.<\/p>\n<p>The experience helped them appreciate the importance of teamwork, confidence, and a commitment to excellence. It also encouraged them to continue developing their vocal projection, expressiveness, stage presence, and attention to detail.<\/p>\n<p>Their achievement reflects the commitment of the choristers and the dedicated support of their choir teachers, instructors, parents, and the wider school community.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>St. Bridget\u2019s Convent, Sri Lanka<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Students from St. Bridget\u2019s Convent traveled from Sri Lanka to participate in an international choral festival for the first time.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_16075\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16075\" style=\"width: 1153px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-16075 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.olcgs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/page_5_image_2_inset.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1153\" height=\"543\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.olcgs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/page_5_image_2_inset.jpeg 1153w, https:\/\/www.olcgs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/page_5_image_2_inset-300x141.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.olcgs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/page_5_image_2_inset-1024x482.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.olcgs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/page_5_image_2_inset-768x362.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.olcgs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/page_5_image_2_inset-18x8.jpeg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1153px) 100vw, 1153px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-16075\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">St Bridget&#8217;s Convent girls performing on stage.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The school achieved excellent results with the Junior Choir being awarded the Gold Award and the Senior Choir two Silver Awards.<\/p>\n<p>Receiving one Gold Award and two Silver Awards during their first international festival was <strong>an exceptional accomplishment<\/strong> for the young choristers. It reflected their courage, dedication, and perseverance, as well as the preparation and support provided by their choir directors, teachers, families, and the entire school community.<\/p>\n<p>The young choristers embraced the opportunity to perform on an international stage and to meet other young singers from other countries \u2013 it is an experience they will treasure for years to come.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>One Mission, Many Voices<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>What better testament to the spirit of our foundress, <strong>Ste Marie-Euphrasie<\/strong>, than seeing our students live her call to be zealous and audacious, courageously stepping onto the international stage, giving their very best, and inspiring others through their talents.<\/p>\n<p>These achievements remind us that although our Good Shepherd schools are separated by geography, <strong>we are united in one Good Shepherd mission and one heart<\/strong>.
