By Sr. Sibelle Batinga (Province of Southeast Latin America)
A burning love flows from Euphrasia’s heart,
Chosen as leader, young in her part—
Only twenty-nine, yet strong in her flame,
She founded the Contemplatives: “They are my crown,” she proclaimed.
Her zeal was meant for the world to embrace,
Feet on the journey, in prayer she found grace.
To restore human worth is our holy quest,
“Where action can’t reach, my prayer does the rest.”
Two hundred years of history and love we proclaim,
Serving the ones dearest to the Good Shepherd’s name.
Contemplation is our mission, deeply treasured and true,
We pray for the Congregation that spreads God’s love anew.
“The essence of our calling is the vow of Zeal.”
A fire for the world that we nurture and feel.
As sisters and seeds of hope we rise,
Our cry and our love echo under the skies.
Let us rejoice as we witness God’s reign,
Spreading true hope through the cosmos’ domain.
We were born to adore, to lift up God’s name,
To follow the Good Shepherd, to praise and proclaim.
Let my feet walk where the sunlight is born,
Let my mouth declare Christ risen and sworn.
May these 200 years rekindle our flame,
A Jubilee of love in Euphrasia’s name!
Let my soul sing!
Let my heart proclaim!
Let my life rejoice!
Let love be my flame!
Long live Euphrasia—
For her deeds of Love remain!
