From November 25 to December 10, the Good Shepherd network joins the global 16 Days of Activism Campaign to End Gender-Based Violence, a powerful reminder that a life free from violence is a fundamental human right for all.
This year, our Good Shepherd campaigns align with the UNiTE theme, focusing on the urgent need to end digital violence against all women and girls. As our lives move increasingly online, it is crucial that we work together to build safe, respectful, and just digital spaces.
Sisters and partners-in-mission observed Orange Day on 25 November 2025, aligning with the UN’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and the global theme, “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls.”
Observing Orange Day in Mysuru
The Good Shepherd School in Mysuru organised a special assembly where teachers, students, and dignitaries—including Manager Sr. Molly Saviour, Chief Guest Mrs. Ponnamma, and Sub-Inspector Mrs. Lolakshi—emphasised the importance of ending violence and promoting equality, respect, and safety for women and girls.

The campus was adorned in orange, symbolising hope and a future free from violence. A rally (main picture) was flagged off by Sr. Molly, with staff and students marching through major city areas carrying posters and raising slogans against gender discrimination. The event concluded with a reaffirmation of the school’s commitment to fostering dignity, security, and a safe, inclusive environment for all.
A United Mission to End Violence
Across the country, Good Shepherd Thailand organised awareness-raising activities to end violence against women and children under the theme “One Heart, One Mission – For the Protection and Empowerment of Women and Children.” These activities—ranging from community education and advocacy workshops to solidarity campaigns and safe-space dialogues—represent our commitment to protecting the dignity of every woman and child. They serve as powerful reminders that prevention, protection, and healing must continue to guide our mission with compassion and justice.

The dedication shown by Good Shepherd Thailand reflects the values of our Congregation: compassion that restores, courage that transforms, and mission that protects.

Confronting Digital Violence
Technology is evolving faster than any previous generation has experienced. While innovation brings opportunity, it also carries significant risks. Today, young people are growing up in a digital world where the lines between what is real and what is fabricated are becoming dangerously blurred. We must pause and ask ourselves: What kind of world are we creating for our children?
Global Shepherds Malaysia created the below video campaign for the 16 Days of Activism 2025, embracing the theme “End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.”
Something must change—and that change begins with us. The future should not be something our young people must survive; it should be something they can trust.
Taking the Message to the Streets
In Lima, Peru, the Congregation’s Mission Development Office and the team from AMMAR – Centro de Apoyo a la Mujer took to the streets on November 25 to raise awareness by sharing informational materials and resources. Their message was clear: violence against women is a social issue that concerns us all. By listening, accompanying, and acting, we can build safer communities together.
The team In Cajamarca also shared powerful reflections (see video below) from sisters and partners who celebrated the strength of women in sewing and pastry workshops. These programs help women build economic autonomy and emotional freedom, creating lives filled with dignity.
When a woman learns, creates, and forges her own path, she is reborn.
