Edited from a submission by Sergio Carion, Province Communicator, Province of Argentina/Uruguay
Following two days of an in-person and online hybrid gathering for sisters across Argentina and Uruguay, the Provincial Assembly took place from April 10 to 12.

This assembly marked a profound step in our ongoing journey to respond to the Call to Action to a New Governance Structure. Guided by the desire to promote our mission more effectively, this time together focused on our transition toward regionalization and the full, co-responsible engagement of our partners-in-mission.
We were blessed to be accompanied by the Provincial Coordination Team, including Brother Fernando Kuhn CMF, Phycologist Ms. Hebe Quintana, and Social Phycologist Ms. Mónica Córdoba, as well as Ms. Heidy Hochstätter, Regional Manager of the Good Shepherd International Foundation in Latin America. Together, we explored what the future holds for the structural and spiritual evolution that we are journeying through.
On the first day of the assembly, we participated in a workshop on grief to gently accompany the necessary process of “letting go” of familiar structures. The following day, the Regional Implementation Committee presented the 2026 Roadmap, leading us into an afternoon of discerning our shared mission. By the final day, we began drafting a collaborative Action Plan. The commitment of each sister and partner-in-mission was beautifully expressed in our small group and plenary conversations, expanding our hearts to welcome the movement of the Spirit.

Together, we have outlined the paths that will guide our “crossing to the other shore.” This journey will lead us to more consolidated and collaborative Good Shepherd ministries, strengthening our shared mission hand in hand with partners-in-mission and with the support of Good Shepherd International Foundation in Latin America

During this time, Heidy Hochstätter also briefly visited the Posada de Marta y MarÃa, an intercongregational apostolate where our Congregation serves alongside two other women’s congregations.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Hebe, Fernando, Mónica, Heidy, and every sister and partner-in-mission for enriching our assembly and walking forward with us.
May God continue to bless our shared journey.
