As a young sister, the Congregational Call to Action for a New Governance Structure offers me a challenging vision for the future.
Of course, it will be interesting to discover what lies ahead, but there is always a level of fear when stepping into the unknown, of not knowing how this restructuring will be carried out or what changes it will bring.
But I do not dwell in my fear.
I continue to let myself be guided by the Holy Spirit and the suggestions for reflection offered by the Congregation. I also feel invited to pray for our sisters and for all our partners-in-mission, especially those who are directly involved in this process.
Questions that emerge within my heart during this journey lead me to be inspired by the lives and testimonies of Saint John Eudes and Saint Mary Euphrasia, who gave birth to our Congregation.
Despite any doubts I have, or that might emerge, I feel that we are growing increasingly flexible, open, and accepting of how we will be able to adapt to these new realities for the good of the Congregation.
I am motivated by the fact that the Congregation is international and that communities will consist of sisters from different countries speaking different languages. This impels me to want to learn new languages and become familiar with the lived realities of other countries.
I am inspired by the vision of creating something new and dynamic that better responds to the needs of today where the resources in our region can be shared and where we learn from each other’s lived experiences.
This sharing will allow us to develop more meaningful relationships and, in turn, feed the mission to become ever more fruitful!
As I look towards the horizon, my perspective has changed: it is no longer limited to me, to where I am, to my province, or to the field in which I work. I have a new broadened perspective and I look forward with renewed zeal to the dawn that lies ahead.
