On June 11, Congregational Leader, Sr Joan Marie Lopez, and two members of the Congregational Leadership Team, Srs Josita Corera and Marie Francoise Mestry, visited St Martha’s Hospital in Bengaluru, India.
This historic visit takes place during the 170th anniversary (1854 to 2024) since the arrival of the Congregation in India, and the 138th anniversary since our sisters founded the hospital in the city.
In a speech she gave to the large crowd of sisters and partners-in-mission who work at the hospital, Sr Joan Marie thanked them for “stepping up and standing up for the poor and for those who are underprivileged”.
