Dear Sisters and Partners-in-Mission,
With deep gratitude and profound sorrow, we acknowledge the passing of Pope Francis. His life was a testament to Jesus the Good Shepherd’s call to justice, mercy, and care for the poor and the most marginalized, and his leadership has left an indelible mark on the Church and the world.
Pope Francis spoke with a prophetic voice that challenged systemic injustice and inspired hope. His teachings and actions directly connected with and strengthened our Good Shepherd mission serving girls, women, and children in 67 countries on five continents.
As a congregation, let us unite in thanking God for his life and legacy. May his prophetic voice continue to inspire us to be pilgrims of hope and builders of peace.
May he now rest in the eternal embrace of our Shepherd God.
