Como ONG con estatus consultivo especial ante el Consejo Económico y Social (ECOSOC) de las Naciones Unidas, desde 1996, la Congregación tiene representación oficial en las Oficinas de las Naciones Unidas en Nueva York y en Ginebra y Viena. Este importante compromiso se lleva a cabo a través de nuestra equipo de Justicia y Paz Internacional del Buen Pastor
Gracias a nuestro estatus, la Congregación puede participar de manera significativa en los eventos de la ONU. El equipo actúa como la entidad dedicada de la Congregación que se ocupa de cuestiones de justicia, paz e integridad de la creación.
A través de nuestra labor de promoción, basada en nuestros seis Documentos de Posición de la Congregación, influimos en la política sobre cuestiones de desarrollo económico, social y medioambiental en los más altos niveles políticos. Colaboramos y trabajamos en red con organizaciones gubernamentales y no gubernamentales para promover una cultura universal de justicia y abogar por cambiar las políticas que excluyen y los sistemas que deshumanizan.

En la alianza del Comité de ONG para el Desarrollo Social brings together civil society organizations working to ensure that social development remains at the heart of the UN’s agenda. The committee promotes people-centered development, with special attention to poverty eradication, inequality, and the empowerment of marginalized groups.
It actively engages in UN processes such as the Commission for Social Development, the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, the Third Committee of the General Assembly, and the 2030 Agenda. The committee drafts position papers, organizes side events, and meets regularly in subcommittees to advance its advocacy.
The GSIJP Team participates in the Advocacy Subcommittee, helping to shape policy recommendations and dialogues with Member States to ensure that social development frameworks reflect human dignity and justice.
En la Comité de ONG sobre la Condición Jurídica y Social de la Mujer (NY) is one of the largest and most visible global networks of NGOs focused on gender equality and women’s and girls’ empowerment. It unites more than 100 member organizations and connects to regional groups across Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, Geneva, Vienna, and the Arab States.
The committee works to advance key frameworks such as the 1995 Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), UN Security Council Resolution 1325, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It plays a central role in civil society engagement during the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) each March.
The GSIJP Team is an active member of NGO CSW/NY, contributing especially during CSW to ensure that girls’ voices and perspectives are included in global advocacy for gender equality.
En la Grupo de Trabajo sobre las Niñas is a coalition of NGOs working for girls and with girls at the United Nations. WGG advocates for the human rights of girls, amplifies their voices, and creates pathways for girls to directly participate in international decision-making spaces.
Its mission is to advance the status of girls, promote their inclusion at all stages of life, and ensure they can realize their full potential. WGG also organizes flagship events such as the annual International Day of the Girl (IDG) Girls Speak Out at the United Nations.
The GSIJP Team is deeply involved in WGG’s leadership. Kimberly Happich Moloche serves as Co-Chair of the Working Group on Girls, guiding its strategy and advocacy to ensure girl-centered approaches remain at the forefront of UN processes.
En la Comité de ONG sobre Migración is a coalition of civil society organizations dedicated to promoting and protecting the human rights of migrants. The committee works in close collaboration with UN Member States, agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that migration policies reflect dignity, human rights, and inclusion.
The GSIJP Team contributes actively to the Xenophobia and Social Inclusion Subcommittee and the Climate-Induced Displacement Subcommittee. Kimberly Happich Moloche also serves on the NGO CoM Executive Committee as Member-at-Large, helping to guide its overall direction and strengthen advocacy efforts at the UN.
Religiosos en la ONU is an informal network of religious congregations represented at the United Nations.The group provides space for dialogue, shared reflection, and solidarity among faith-based organizations. While not a formal working group, RUN fosters collaboration across diverse congregations and creates opportunities to exchange resources and insights.
The GSIJP Team participates actively in RUN, building connections with other religious NGOs to strengthen collective advocacy for justice, peace, and the integrity of creation.
En la Comité de ONG para detener la trata de personas is a coalition of organizations dedicated to ending human trafficking in all its forms. It works to challenge the financial systems that make trafficking profitable, advocating for policies that dismantle the business model of exploitation while supporting survivors and promoting human rights.
Kimberly Happich Moloche serves on CSTIP’s Core Team, which guides the committee’s initiatives, coordinates advocacy with UN missions, and develops campaigns that seek to bankrupt human trafficking networks.
En la Coalición por la Justicia Religiosa is a network of religious congregations accredited by the United Nations in New York. For centuries, religious congregations have served those rendered poor, vulnerable, and marginalized by global systems. JCoR brings these organizations together to enhance collaboration, strengthen collective advocacy, and address the root causes of unsustainable development. The coalition coordinates efforts at national, regional, and global levels to call on leaders for a just, equitable, and rights-based implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda.
The GSIJP Team is an active member of JCoR, contributing to joint advocacy, policy engagement, and UN initiatives. Through this collaboration, GSIJP helps amplify the voices of vulnerable communities, advance systemic solutions to poverty and inequality, and promote justice and dignity globally.
En la Centro Católico Internacional de Ginebra (Centre Catholique International de Genève) is a Geneva-based, Catholic-inspired non-governmental organization that promotes human rights, social justice, and peace through advocacy and dialogue within the United Nations system.
CCIG works to support and coordinate faith-based and civil society organizations in their engagement with international human rights mechanisms such as the Human Rights Council (HRC) and the Universal Periodic Review (UPR). It also provides training, capacity building, and networking opportunities to strengthen local and international advocacy efforts.
By linking local realities with global policymaking, CCIG helps amplify the voices of marginalized communities and fosters collaborative action for the protection of human dignity worldwide.

A GSIJP CSW70 Parallel Event highlighting global and regional work combatting gender inequality in migration. This event featured representatives from Good Shepherd programs around the world addressing current migration trends in the Lebanon, Central America, Ireland, and the United States, as well as expert practitioners in migration global advocacy, to discuss both policy work and lived realities.
